How to invest

How do I open an account in sub-funds of the HSBC Global Liquidity Fund range?

First you will need to read the Key Investor Information Document for the share class(es) in which you want to invest.

In addition to reading the above documentation you will also need the following documentation:

  • A completed Account Opening Form
  • A certified list of authorised signatories who are permitted to change the standing data contained in the Account Opening Form (e.g. your bank account details)
  • A certified list of authorised signatories who are permitted to trade on the account

Can I place a deal online?

Yes. Online trading can be carried out on the following portals:

  • HSBCnet Liquidity Portal
  • Bloomberg
  • MyTreasury
  • SunGard
  • 360T
  • State Street Fund Connect

Can I place a deal by fax?

Yes, please complete a Dealing Form, which can be found on our Resources page. Please then fax this document to the number detailed below:

To confirm receipt of the fax please phone +353-1-642-8544. Faxes must be received by the Administrator before the relevant Dealing Deadline.

Can I place a deal by phone?

Yes, please call the HSBC dealing team on +353-1-642-8544 before the relevant Dealing Deadline. In order to place the deal you will need to provide the following information:

  • Your shareholder account number
  • Your name, as it appears on the shareholder register; and
  • The name and share class of the fund that you wish to deal in, and the amount that you wish to deal
  • You may be asked certain security questions, to confirm your identity

Please note that your dealing instructions will be read-back (so that you can confirm they are accurate), and that all telephone deals are recorded.

How do I settle deals?

Redemption proceeds will be electronically transferred on the Settlement Date to the bank account given in your Account Opening Form.

Subscription payments must be made by the Cash Deadline on the Settlement Date by electronic transfer. If you do not settle a subscription by the Cash Deadline on the Settlement Date, then you may be liable for any loss incurred by the HSBC Global Liquidity Funds plc as described in the Prospectus.

What are the minimum initial and subsequent investment amounts?

Where can I find daily yields?

You can obtain information on the daily yield and net asset value of the HSBC Global Liquidity Funds plc via our Fund Centre page. You can also find this information through Reuters or Bloomberg, the codes for which can be found on the fund factsheet.

Alternatively, you can request that your local HSBC Liquidity client service team arrange for this information to be emailed to you on a daily basis by selecting the corresponding email preferences.

  • If you have invested in a distributing share class, your dividend income will be declared daily and paid monthly. Dividend income can be paid at any time during the month if you would like to request a full account redemption
  • A record of your account and all transactions is kept by the Administrator. Statements confirming deals, dividends and month-end balances will be sent to you on a monthly basis

Please note that stock certificates are not issued for your holding. The issue and transfer of shares are by book entry.

When investing by placing a subscription trade will my account be debited automatically?

No. You will need to send the cash in a separate transaction. See the HSBC Global Liquidity Funds Administration Guide for cash payment deadlines.

Do you disclose portfolio holdings details?

Yes, shareholders can elect to receive portfolio holdings reports which are released on a weekly basis, with information provided on Friday, one week in arrears. If you are a shareholder in one or more of the sub-funds and would like to be added to the distribution list to receive holdings reports, please contact the client service team by email.

What is the HSBCnet Liquidity Portal?

HSBCnet is the proprietary portal of HSBC via which the HSBC Global Liquidity Funds can be traded. You can also view your current balance information, transaction history and historical yields there. This information can also be downloaded to Microsoft Excel TM.

The HSBCnet Liquidity Portal is free to use. To use the Liquidity Portal you will need to have an account with HSBC Global Liquidity Funds plc. In addition a registration form needs to be completed. The form can be accessed on the Resources page.

What are the dealing cut off times for trading via HSBCnet?

The cut-off times for placing orders via the HSBCnet are 15 minutes earlier than for the fund cut off times, as illustrated below.
